To be offered a place at Tarragindi War Memorial Kindergarten your child’s
name must be on our waiting list.

Your child’s name can be added to our waiting list anytime from birth. It is
advisable to apply as early as you can as we can only take 88 children
each year in the kindergarten program and 22 in the pre-kindy program.
We recommend you add your child’s name to our waiting list before they
turn 2. All children are required to be toilet trained.

The pre-kindy (3-year-old) program is a special program we offer to children
on the kindy waiting list. To be offered a place in the pre-kindy program the child needs to
have turned 3 by 15 January in the year they are due to attend. A waiting list form is required to be filled in for this group.

Please complete the online waiting list form and your child’s name will be added to the waiting list for their
eligible year.

Pre Kindy Program is a pre-kindergarten class that is filled with fun age-appropriate learning experiences. The aim of the program is to help the child become familiar with our kindergarten before their actual kindergarten year at Tarragindi War Memorial Kindergarten.

The program is on a Wednesday during school terms.

FREE Kindy in 2024

We are a not -for-profit community-based kindergarten, so our goal is to put the child's educational experience first and keep our fees as competitive  as possible.

In 2024 all eligible-age children can attend Tarragindi Kindy for 15 hours a week (600 hours a year) for FREE.

Please check your eligibility for FREE Kindy below:

  • Your child must be of eligible-age (turning 4 by 30 June 2024)

  • Only one centre can claim the funding subsidy for your child for FREE kindy.

  • If your child is enrolled in another kindergarten centre while they are enrolled at our centre, you need to choose which centre you would like the funding applied to, to receive FREE kindy at only one of the centres.

  • If your child is enrolled in childcare and accessing a government-approved kindergarten program at that childcare centre, you will receive FREE kindy only at our kindergarten and not at the childcare centre.

If your child does not meet the eligibility criteria above, the non-eligible enrolment kindergarten fee will apply.
