​​To be offered a place at Tarragindi War Memorial Kindergarten your child’s
name must be on our waiting list.

Your child’s name can be added to our waiting list anytime from birth. It is
advisable to apply as early as you can as we can only take 88 children
each year in the kindergarten program and 22 in the Wattle (pre-kindy) program.

We recommend you add your child’s name to our waiting list before they
turn 2. All children are required to be toilet trained.

Wattle and Gumnuts Program - Pre-Kindy

Tarragindi Kindy offers a three year old pre-kindy program. In 2026 there are two Pre-Kindy classes the Wattle program and the Gumnuts program. The Pre-kindy programs are a special program we offer to children
on our kindy waiting list. There is no separate waiting list for the Pre-Kindy programs. To be offered a place in the Pre-Kindy programs your child needs to
have turned 3 by 31 December in the year prior to the year they are to attend kindy and be fully toilet-trained. Our Pre-Kindy programs are not covered by government funding.

There is a $20 waitlist fee per child for the Pre-Kindy programs. The waitlist fee payment can be made via Direct Deposit:

If we do not receive your $20 waitlist fee, we will assume that you are not waitlisting your child for our Pre-Kindy program and your child will only be added to our kindy waitlist for their eligible year.
