Our Policies
Healthy lifestyles
At Tarragindi Kindy we encourage and support a healthy eating policy for children. We believe little bodies need adequate fuel to keep them going during their busy days at Kindy. We ask children are provided with healthy lunches so their bodies gain essential nutrients for growth.
Sun Smart Centre
As a proud SunSmartService as awarded by the Queensland Council, Sun Safety is a priority for the Kindy as the majority of the day is spent outdoors. A hat, suitable clothes and sunscreen is required for each child. We require the children to reapply their sunscreen throughout the day and assist where necessary.
Independence
By assisting the children in performing everyday tasks on their own, such as being able to easily open lunchbox containers or putting away their belongings, staff are helping to develop and enhance the children’s fine and gross motor skills as well as their sense of self belief.

Sustainable operations
With a focus on sustainability, our equipment and operations are, where possible, wood based, recycled or from natural substances. We ask families assist this practice by providing a lot of their recyclable goods from their everyday lives to the Kindy for the children to use. Your trash is certainly our treasure and any unwanted items are usually all put to good use by busy hands.

Parent and Community Code of Conduct
We aim to work together to create an engaging and safe environment that supports your child's learning and wellbeing. Parents/Guardians and community members who visit our kindy must ensure their conduct and communication is respectful and aligns with this Code of Conduct.
